Get Involved

The 10 Campaign is a joint effort by a lot of Civil Society Organisations throughout the world. Some of those organisations are running activities that all of us can get involved in.

One of 10 Campaign's partners, STOP THE TRAFFIK is running various global activities. You can get involved with these activities and campaign for Traffik Free Chocolate around the world. To start why not send a 10th birthday card and letter to your local political representative and ask them to act and get their Government to implement legislation to end child trafficking and slave labour in the cocoa industry. United States of America

The International Labor Rights Forum have created a tool where you can send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, calling for an end of child labor in the production of cocoa.

United Kingdom

STOP THE TRAFFIK in the UK have lots of activities you can get involved in to campaign for Traffik Free Chocolate. In 2001 beloofde de chocolade industrie om uitbuitende kinderarbeid in de productie van cacao te beïndigen. Iedereen vierde toen feest, maar wat is er tien jaar verder nou echt aan voortuitgang gebeurd? De chocolade industrie heeft zo'n $ 1 miljard verdiend, maar nog steeds worden duizenden kinderen uitgebuit.

De industrie heeft nu een decennium lang de tijd gehad om dit probleem zelf op te lossen. Nu is het tijd voor wetgeving.
